“How much is my house worth?”
“How long is it going to take to sell it?”
“Why aren’t any buyers looking at my property?”
“We should start high, because we can always come down, right?”
I have to say, after this much time selling property, there isn’t a question I haven’t been asked at least once. The good thing about these particular questions is that they all relate to the same or similar answer - PRICE.
Think about it for just a moment. If you were looking to buy a property, what is the great equalizer? What one thing would make a property in terrible condition more appealing? What single item would make you consider a house in an area of town you wouldn’t otherwise consider? Two houses you like, with amenities you want, how do you choose which one to buy? PRICE, PRICE, PRICE. The answer is now and has always been price.
You cannot move a house to more acceptable area of town, and although you could repair a property it costs money, and the only thing that can make the choice between two properties easier is if you could get one at a better price.
